Training of Enrollment Officers

Preparatory to the commencement of enrolment of Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF) beneficiaries in the state, Gombe State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (GoHealth) has conducted an orientation/training on the exercise to the selected enrolment officers, ward development committees (WDCs) and councillors in 3 LGAs of Funakaye, Kwami and Nafada in the first round of the exercise.
The Local Government Chairmen who were briefed on the importance of the training and the enrolment exercise, charged the enrolment officers and the councillors to give maximum cooperation and ensure all the identified beneficiaries in their respective LGAs are enrolled. They also called on the NIMC officers in their LGAs to prioritize the generation of National Identitification Number to all eligible enrollees who do not yet have their NIN. Possession of the NIN is a pre-condition for enrollment into the programme.
The BHCPF is a programme of the Government aimed at providing access to basic minimum package of health services to all Nigerians with particular focus on the poor and vulnerable. In Gombe State, persons with disability, pregnant women, widows, the elderly as well as children below the age of 5 are being enrolled into the programme to access these services at no cost when they fall sick. Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya is set to officially flag-off the commencement of the enrolment exercise on Thursday 18th March, 2021 at Daban Fulani PHC in Kwami LGA.
